Home Delivery
The Bloomfield Public Library has partnered with the Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Department to provide a free weekly home delivery service to patrons who are not able to visit the library in person.
Who is eligible for home delivery services?
This service is provided for cardholders with residency in Bloomfield, NJ who are permanently or temporarily homebound due to illness, age, disability or other qualifying circumstance. This service is also available to those within Assisted Living and Retirement Homes, Health Care and Adult Day Care Facilities.
What types of materials can be delivered?
Delivered materials may include items from Bloomfield Public Library's large collection of books including romances, westerns, mysteries, biographies, fiction, non-fiction, inspirational, science fiction, and best sellers. We also offer large print editions of popular novels that are perfect for readers who have difficulty reading average size type in most books. Additional loaned materials able to be delivered include audiobooks, movie DVDs and CDs.
How often are deliveries made? How are materials returned?
Deliveries are made each Wednesday. At the time of delivery, our recreation staff drivers can also collect materials for return to the library.
How do I sign up?
