Loan Policies & Late Fees

Materials owned by the Bloomfield Public Library can be checked out by anyone who has a valid library card from Bloomfield, any BCCLS library, or any ReBL library. Most items can be renewed online, over the phone, or in person, assuming there are no holds on the item.

Starting on January 2, 2020, late fees will no longer be charged for most materials. See chart below for those exempt items. For more information on being Fine Free, visit our FAQ page.

Please note that certain items, like Summer Reading titles or items from other BCCLS libraries, don't always have the same conditions as we do, so fines and replacement charges might vary.
